Sacred Cow

Fat: A Documentary

Fat: A Documentary

Beef is framed as the most environmentally destructive and least  healthy of meats. We’re often told that the only solution is to reduce  or quit red meat entirely. But despite what anti-meat groups, vegan  celebrities, and some health experts say, plant-based agriculture is far  from a perfect solution. In Sacred Cow, registered dietitian Diana Rodgers and former research biochemist and New York Times bestselling  author Robb Wolf explore the quandaries we face in raising and eating  animals―focusing on the largest (and most maligned) of farmed animals,  the cow.

Taking a critical look at the assumptions and misinformation about meat, Sacred Cow points out the flaws in our current food system and in the proposed “solutions.” Inside, Rodgers and Wolf reveal contrarian but science-based findings, such as:

  • Meat and animal fat are essential for our bodies.
  • A sustainable food system cannot exist without animals.
  • A vegan diet may destroy more life than sustainable cattle farming.
  • Regenerative cattle ranching is one of our best tools at mitigating climate change.

You’ll  also find practical guidance on how to support sustainable farms and a  30-day challenge to help you transition to a healthful and conscientious  diet. With scientific rigor, deep compassion, and wit, Rodgers and Wolf  argue unequivocally that meat (done right) should have a place on the  table.

Benjamin Britten: Peace & Conflict

This drama documentary explores the pacifism nurtured at Gresham's  School that was such a powerful influence on composer Benjamin Britten's  life and work. Episodes from his schooling and early career,  illustrated by performances of his music and unique observations from  experts and friends, help us understand his growing pacifism.

The  film features performances of Britten's music by tenor James Gilchrist  with pianist Iain Burnside, the Benyounes Quartet, cellist Raphael  Wallfisch, baritone Gerard Collett and the Gresham School choir and  brass group. The narration is spoken by legendary actor John Hurt and  interviewees include Anita Lasker Wallfisch, composer Joseph Horovitz  and Sue Phipps, Britten's and Peter Pears's agent for many years.

"Peace  and Conflict is a beautiful and touching evocation of Britten's  schooling at Gresham's and the values there inculcated, which remained  with him for life. This is a moving and engrossing film, with terrific  performances and tender appreciation of Britten's music." Paul Kildea  (Britten's biographer).

Game Changers Debunked the film

Everyone deserves NORMAL blood sugars. So, why is it that children and adults who are diagnosed with diabetes are given dietary guidelines that set them up or a lifetime of chaotic blood sugars and a future fraught with complications?    We KNOW the solution. The answer lies in food.

Why does this matter? Current research shows that women who developed  type 1 diabetes before the age of ten years die an average of nearly 18  years earlier than women who do not have diabetes. Men in the  corresponding situation lose almost 14 years of life.

This is LIFE. Years of adulthood that we aren't willing to sacrifice for our children.

The Diabetes Solution : for Schools , Colleges and those suffering from T1 diabetes

A  group of families and doctors reveal a corporate cover-up in exposing  the truth about Diabetes management, in this seminal documentary about  the disease.

When Bethany and Matt's 5-year-old son River was diagnosed with type 1  diabetes, they followed all of the current guidelines for managing the  disease and for three years, they were in a constant state of crisis  management. Their son had dangerously high and frighteningly low blood  sugars, endless trips to the school nurse, and he continually missed  activities due to diabetes. In June of 2016, they hit rock bottom and  changed everything. After a very sincere and defeated post on social  media, several families reached out to inform them about their similar  story and another way to manage diabetes inspired by an 86 year old.

Immediately  they changed their diets and instantly they saw results. River went  from feeling miserable all day to being an honor student and a  nationally ranked athlete. It only took a few tweaks to his diet and his  blood sugars became normal and healthy.

The Diabetes Solution  examines their all-too-common story, the current guidelines, their  success, and the corruption that hides this solution from the newly  diagnosed. It's an undeniable example of how people with diabetes can  prevent complications and live a full and healthy life. Its purpose is  to bring a message of hope to people with diabetes and to shine a light  on why the truth was hidden all along.

Everyone deserves normal blood sugars.
