 Based on Tony Britten’s stage production for Music Theatre London,  Boheme is a refreshing and modern take on the Puccini opera. Filmed on  location in South-East London. 

Simon Butteriss’s in depth look at the works of  Gilbert & Sullivan is brought to life in this five part documentary,  including commentaries from Michael Ball, Germaine Greer and Dr Jane  Glover. Produced in association with Sky Arts.

Musical and dramatic excerpts illustrate the narrative in addition to  some important archive performances The specially recorded performances  by our own repertory company include world renowned G&S soloists,  and of course, Simon Butteriss himself.

 Simon Butteriss takes on the role as narrator in this Grossmith-like  ‘one man show’, as he guides us through Grossmith’s comic characters.  The songs, humour and history combine in a dazzling musical documentary. 

As a golf club near Windsor, ‘Big John’ Falstaff props up the bar at  the nineteenth hole, which is where he is invariably to be found. He  doesn’t actually play golf, because no one wants to play with him – and  anyway, he’s probably too plump to make it past the first green.

Verdi’s glorious comedy is brought to life with wonderful performances and Tony Britten’s trademark wit.

 Some Little Joy’ tells the story of composer and critic Philip  Heseltine, better known as Peter Warlock, who in the bohemian world of  mid-twenties England, composed some of the most perfect gems of English  song writing. Told from the perspective of the Peter Warlock Society,  the film charts the rise and fall of Heseltine’s creative journey,  meeting along the way various lovers, friends and contemporaries, such  as Bernard Van Dieren, Frederick Delius and Augustus John. 

A fully fledged film of Oliver Goldsmith’s evergreen comedy, She  Stoops To Conquer tells the story of Kate Hardcastle and Charles Marlow.  The pair are destined to be lovers, but must first overcome Charles’  nerves when he is around upper-class women.
